What do normal people do on a Sunday when you have to move clocks forward 1 hour? I would hazard a guess most people slept in!
Fast and furious emails were going back and forth trying to figure out where to ski. Parc du Mont Orford was too far. Parc Oka was hosting a ski marathon and I was hoping everyone would take a look outside their window and then go back to bed!
Peer pressure can be a cruel because off to Oka we went (Ray, Glenn, Joanna and myself).
The man at the gate said skiing was free, with the park entrance fee only $3.50, and all trails were open but only #6 had been tracked oh and have a nice day!
As the road curves down toward the centre d’accueil, you pass several swampy areas. I kept thinking maybe we can all go somewhere for brunch!
Peer pressure again – because off we went on the #6. The trail by the beach was a bit on the sloppy side (there were only a few spots where you went into the water!) but once in the woods the trails were actually pretty good for spring skiing (translated means waxless skis or klister on regular skis). The second time around # 6 was a bit tougher because the snow was getting softer.
Peer pressure turned out to be a good thing because we all had a good day. We did go to lunch/brunch at the apple orchard (which funnily ran out of apples!) – must be the time change thing.
