It was logical to assume there wouldn’t be any skiing following recent rains and warm temperatures that revealed grass poking through what remained of the snow. However, someone decided it would be a great evening to ski. The logic behind this decision was based upon an alleged report stating that ski conditions were ‘bon’, as opposed to ‘passable’, or downright crappy. Who would have known
that ski conditions at Cap St Jacques were immune to recent warming trends. Except for walking across the roads, the trails were impeccably groomed, and very fast. Did I mention it was really dark? So dark it was virtually impossible to maintain one’s bearings, negotiate the trail, or keep track of who was where or how many of us there were. No wonder Linda thought there was someone skiing behind her. Or perhaps it is the ever illusive vampire that is said to inhabit Cap St Jacques.
